Universal Terms

Many employers and agencies request that RecruitiFi alter certain terms or sign an amendment that applies only to their organization.

Like most large internet services, RecruitiFi operates off of a single online click-through agreement for all users. Both agencies and employers agree to the same universal terms.

RecruitiFi and our workflow may be new to your company, so we understand why this may be confusing. The following explains why an online service provider like RecruitiFi cannot sign offline paper contracts and amendments.

Two-sided platforms create efficiency through standardization

RecruitiFi is a technology platform that helps manage the agency recruiting process. The platform is home to a global community of users on both the agency side and the employer side.

The RecruitiFi platform and community are very similar to other two-sided platforms that have revolutionized their respective industries such as Uber, Airbnb, or eBay.

Renting a vacation home through Airbnb is different than renting from a local broker 20 years ago, but it's also much more efficient.  In order to create those efficiencies, Airbnb has recreated the experience through digital processes and terms that allow for a massive community of hosts and tenants to rent with ease, scale, and speed.

RecruitiFi is doing the same thing for agency recruiting.

Having a fixed set of rules allows our engineers to program an online technology that creates enormous scale and efficiency in an industry that has traditionally operated without fixed standards. RecruitiFi makes it easier for employers to utilize agencies, thereby providing a larger opportunity for agencies with these employers.

Without standardization, this would be impossible. RecruitiFi's platform processes tens of thousands of transactions a day—JobCast postings, candidate submissions, hires, invoices, fee payments, guarantee failures, etc.  If the guarantee period or candidate ownership period was different for every JobCast, there would be no way to program a platform that could track, collect, or pay out on these transactions.

Fair terms for both sides

At RecruitiFi, both employers and agencies are equally our clients.

RecruitiFi receives no compensation unless both sides of the marketplace are functioning smoothly.  Without employers posting their roles and agencies to fill them, our platform does not work.

This is why we have worked with the legal teams at countless Fortune 500 employers and virtually all of the largest recruiting agencies in the world to create a set of terms that is fair for both sides.

Are The RecruitiFi terms going to match your company's contract word for word? No.

Do they address all of the traditional issues that occur in agency recruiting relationships? Yes—and then some. They were crafted to balance the interests of both sides in a way that allows the traditional agency recruiting relationship to advance into the digital age.

Changes to the terms

On very rare occasion, the legal team at an employer or agency will provide certain language that our legal team deems beneficial to all parties on the platform.

If that language is incorporated into the terms, it affects all of our users—thousands of employers and agencies.  Each user is notified with a clear email communication about the changes and reasoning behind them.

This is fairly standard online procedure.  Virtually every online service you've ever used has a click-through online agreement and online notifications. If online services made individual changes and signed separate written agreements with each user, it would negate the purposes of an online terms. There would be thousands of conflicting contracts, with no means to update and notify users of changes.

Example

If you're still questioning why online agreements needs to be universal, consider another two-sided marketplace to illustrate the situation.

Drivers and passengers sign up to use the Uber app and agree to a click-through that contains Uber’s standard terms.

Taxi drivers and passengers cannot ask Uber to negotiate new terms—Uber has hundreds of thousands of people working on the same terms. Ultimately, whether you’re a driver or a passenger, you either agree to Uber’s terms, or you cannot use the service.

With both sides agreeing to a standard set of rules, the engineers at Uber are able build an app that efficiently processes millions of transactions based on a fixed set of rules. The result: you push a button and a car shows up like magic!

This is how a new breed of applications is using technology to standardize and streamline industries, whether it's transportation, property rentals, or recruiting.
