How Do I Change Pay or Bill Rates on an Active Contract? (Employers)

Learn how to change pay or bill rates on an active contract as an employer.

Written by RecruitiFi
Updated this week

If you need to adjust the pay rate or bill rate for an active contract worker, here's how to do it.

How to Change Rates

  1. If you need a new Statement of Services signed with the updated information:

    1. Close the old contract

    2. Use the New Contract button on your Contracts page to open a new contract with the correct info

  2. If you do not need a new Statement of Services signed:

    1. Let support@recruitifi.com know and we will update this for you

Important Notes

  • Rate changes apply to future timesheets only. Previously approved timesheets will not be retroactively adjusted through the platform.

  • For clients using a UKG Workforce Management (WFM) integration, rate changes should be made in UKG first β€” the updated rates will sync to RecruitiFi.

Adding Workers at a Different Rate

If you need to bring on additional workers at a different pay rate (e.g., a lower-pay operator position alongside existing higher-pay roles), create a new JobCast with the appropriate rate range rather than modifying the existing one. This keeps billing clean and avoids confusion across active contracts.
