If your candidate does not have a LinkedIn profile, please proceed with one of the following options:

  1. Search LinkedIn for their name, more often than not you will find it fairly easily with a basic search.
  2. If they do not have a LinkedIn account, offer to help them build one. This is preferred not only for candidate presentation and perception but it also helps to build your relationship with the candidate. 
  3. If that is not possible, please put this URL https://www.linkedin.com/in/ in the LinkedIn field. It also strongly recommended you indicate that your candidate does not have a LinkedIn profile in the additional information "Must-Have" area.

As a recruiter and a coach, you should explain to your candidate the importance of even a basic LinkedIn profile in today's job market.
