If your candidate does not have a LinkedIn profile, please proceed with one of the following options:
- Search LinkedIn for their name, more often than not you will find it fairly easily with a basic search.
- If they do not have a LinkedIn account, offer to help them build one. This is preferred not only for candidate presentation and perception but it also helps to build your relationship with the candidate.
- If that is not possible, please put this URL https://www.linkedin.com/in/ in the LinkedIn field. It also strongly recommended you indicate that your candidate does not have a LinkedIn profile in the additional information "Must-Have" area.
As a recruiter and a coach, you should explain to your candidate the importance of even a basic LinkedIn profile in today's job market.
